Ronald C. Genschaw, 62, of Marquette, MI passed away suddenly on Christmas Day while vacationing at Copper Mountain, Colorado with family. Ron was born in Alpena, MI to Carl and Grace (Collins) Genschaw on Nov. 6, 1956 and graduated from Alpena High School and attended the University of Detroit.Ron later moved to Marquette and attended Northern Michigan University. He tended bar at Northwoods restaurant then worked as a draftsman for Sundberg Carlson and Assoc. and most recently worked at Northern Michigan University.Ron was an avid water and snow skier and especially enjoyed his time at his property on Sporley Lake. He was a friend to many and enjoyed making new acquaintances whenever he could. He loved football, was a Detroit Lions fan, and watched them whenever possible.Ron is survived by his brothers Charles (Kellie) Genschaw and Todd Genschaw, sister Gayle (Bill) Burd; nephews Christopher (Tabitha) Burd, David (Nikki) Burd, Chase (Alyssa) Genschaw, and Cole Genschaw and 3 great-nephews. Ron was preceded in death by both of his parents.
