Ian Baptiste Lowery, age 25 of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Naples, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 2, of 2022 in a tragic motorcycle accident in Loveland, Colorado. Ian was born on January 19, 1997, in Naples, Florida, to Dan Lowery and Deborah Riley. Ian is survived by wife, Cynthia (Cindy) Padgett; father, Dan Lowery; step mother, Amanda Lowery; brother, Keegan Lowery; grandmother, Vicki Martin; his uncle, John Lowery; mother, Deborah Riley, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Ian was born and raised in Naples, Florida. Ian attended Lely High School and briefly Florida Southwestern College. He had lived in Maine for a short period during his childhood, and in his early adulthood briefly lived in Massachusetts and Denver, Colorado. No matter where he went he never failed to deeply connect with those around him, creating genuine friendships with amazing people. Ian was primarily raised by his father, Dan, Grandma Vicki, and his Uncle John; alongside his brother, Keegan. Ian and his wife met when he was 22 while visiting family in Florida, and they instantly fell in love. Ian and his wife moved to Fort Collins in January 2021 where he has since worked at A&M Electric as an Electrical Apprentice. In Ian’s late teens he emerged in the trade Industry as a roofer and then as a pool technician. Over three years ago, Ian began an apprenticeship in the electrical industry working towards his goal of earning his Journeyman License. In addition to working as an electrical apprentice, Ian had recently picked up a job as a CBD extraction technician at Globex Extractions in Loveland. Ian has a work ethic like no other.
Ian is a fiery, passionate soul who was loved by so many. He was nothing short of a free spirit. At 21, Ian drove his motorcycle from Naples, Florida to Denver, Colorado in the middle of winter, and eventually settled. Ian would take any opportunity he had to ride his motorcycle. He was greatly involved in Denver Bike Life, and actively stayed involved in studying new bikes.
Ian especially found his niche in music. At a young age, Ian fell in love with rock music listening to bands like the Misfits and Metallica. Ian first started playing guitar in his early teens, and also took up singing. He loved playing punk rock music. His music is published on SoundCloud and YouTube, and has hopes of one day starting his own band. In his teens and young adulthood, Ian was very involved in the Southwest Florida music scene as he often attended shows, open mics, and jam sessions.
Ian was taken far too young, but his memory and love will forever shine on inside of our hearts. A celebration of life was held at 11am on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Eltuch Picnic Area at Lory State Park in Fort Collins, Colorado.
