John “Jack” P Connors, 68, passed away on May 22, 2016 in Denver, Co. Mr. Connors was born September 12, 1947, son of Thomas and Elizabeth “Betty” Connors. Jack grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. He was a graduate of The University of Notre Dame and George Mason University School of Law. Jack spent 38 years in Washington, DC and was formerly employed with The Republican National Committee of Washington as Chief Counsel, 1992 Republican National Convention and Deputy General Counsel for Political Affairs, American Hotel & Lodging Association Washington, DC as Executive Vice President of Public Policy, JPC and Associates, Colorado Springs,Co. consultant to Lodging Industry on Political and Legislative matters.In addition to the awards he received over the years he was named “Man of Influence” by Lodging Magazine. He also received The Telly Award and was named Top 10 Trade Association Lobbyists.His closest associates always regarded Him as a true and loyal friend with a great sense of humor fueled by his Irish Wit. He is survived by his wife Genevieve Connors, son Michael Connors, Sister Nancy Corbett (Rick), niece Meaghan Corbett, nephew Kevin Corbett.A memorial service will be held June 25th, 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church, 3513 N St. NW, Washington, DC 20007 with a private reception following.
