“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4On June 10, 2015, Marie Mina Ghattas , 88 , passed away, after a six-year battle with Heart Congested failure and other complications, surrounded by her son, daughter and friends in Denver, Colorado. Marie was born in desouk, Egypt to a good Christian family, who sent her and her sitters to St, Luis American boarding school in Tanta. Marie married the late Fahim Labib a former Egyptian Justice department official, who died 1992. Marie immigrated to the US right after her husband departure. She was a very faithful Coptic Christian Orthodox who never deviated in her prayers or fasting. She was preceded in death by two sisters Zezaf, Fawzia, brother Dr. Markos, her daughter Samia Salib and husband, Fahim Labib. She is survived by sister Alice, son Safwat Labib and daughter Sonia Khalil, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Mom and Grandma we already miss very much, you always been Great to all of us. Our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on your sole and rest you in peace, you will never be forgotten.The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12th at 9:30 AM at St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church; 4775 S. Pearl St., Englewood, CO. Interment to follow at Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, CO. Reception & Luncheon immediately following at St. Mark’s Church.
