Robert "Bobby" Mashburn

Robert "Bobby" Mashburn, 63, of Lakewood, CO, passed away on December 18, 2022. Bobby was born on June 27, 1959, to Jack and Kathy in Denver, Colorado. Bobby graduated from Temple Baptist Academy in 1977, where he enjoyed playing football and basketball. In December of 1977, Bobby met Natalie "Nat" at church, Denver Baptist Temple. Bobby and Nat went on to get married in August of 1978. They purchased their only home, in May of 1979, where they resided for over 43 years. Their house was remodeled multiple times over the years which included adding a second floor. They have a son, David, born in 1981 and a daughter, Stacey, born in 1985. Over the years Bobby and Nat have had countless precious pets. Bobby was often found in his favorite recliner cuddling with Annie, Oakley, Wyatt, Chloe, and Billy the cat. Bobby was a lifelong carpenter and craftsman in woodworking. He spent decades building beautiful homes in the mountains of Colorado with his brothers and cousins. For the 11 years prior to his retirement Bobby worked at Accent Windows as a licensed contractor.

In August of 2006, Bobby was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and received a kidney donation from his wife Natalie on March 25, 2009. Bobby loved to travel, especially cruises, he visited 47 states and numerous countries. Bobby enjoyed coaching both soccer and basketball as well as playing golf with his family. He loved volunteering at Belmar Church in the children's ministries and being an instructor for the Whiz kids tutoring program. Bobby was preceded in death by his father Jack, and his brother Jacky. He is survived by his wife Natalie, his son David, his daughter Stacey, his mother Kathy, his brother James, and multiple nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Belmar Church, 460 S Kipling Street, Lakewood, CO 80226 on January 21, 2023, at 11a.m. with lunch following in the gym.
