Denver, Colorado – William Romero passed away of natural causes at his home in the Capital Hill section of Denver on May 13, 2022. He was 71 years old. William, better known as Bill, was born in Lafayette and spent his childhood in Louisiana before moving to Denver. . Bill dedicated himself to becoming a visual artist using computers to enhance and provide vivid colors and patterns to his art works which he sold in a digital format. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for the deceased on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Martin de Tours Catholic Church, 133 S. Main St., St. Martinville, LA. 70582 A recitation of the Rosary will precede the Mass at 10:15 at the Church. There will be no visitation. Entombment will be private at the family plot in the Fournet Cemetery, St. Martinville, LA. William is survived by his brother, Wilfred J. Romero of Chatham, N.J., his sisters Tara R. Ellison of Tahlequah, OK and Leah R. Green of Oroville, CA. as well as his aunt Barbara R. Leleux of New Iberia and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilfred and Joan Fournet Romero, formerly of New Iberia and St. Martinville, LA.
