Obituary for Angela Marlene Fitterer

Angela Marlene Fitterer, aged 36, passed away on Sunday March 20,2016 while surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on November 18,1979 to Clem and Teresa (Rush) Fitterer. Angela spent the majority of her life in the Littleton area close to her immediate family. After attending Chatfield Senior High School, she worked in various industries where she was able to share and refine her nurturing spirit. Among friends, family, and strangers alike, Angie's generous nature and outgoing personality were infinitely contagious. Angie constantly put others before herself and was known on multiple occasions to literally give the shirt right off her back for a person in need.
She was the proud mother of two children, Ada Ann (11) and Kennan Paul (3) and was most recently living in Denver with her fiance, Jeremiah Prokes. Family played a central role in Angie's daily life. Her enthusiasm for time with loved ones and attention to planning holidays and birthdays never waned. She was genuinely empathetic and compassionate, wanting deep and honest answers when she asked how you are. Angie will be profoundly missed by many.

Angela is survived by both of her parents and her children; her sisters Holly, Nicole, and Teresa; her nephew Andrew and niece Kaylee, and her fiance. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Thursday,April 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the service." In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family would appreciate donations in Angie's name to The National Autism Association , an autism advocacy group.

"Sisters are a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life." -lsadora James, dancer.

Lighting a blue flame in honor of Angie. Angie and I were classmates middle school through high school. She was funny, spirited and a nonsense kinda gal. She will be missed, but honored in those she left behind. It was a pleasure knowing you, Angie. Sending loving light to you and everyone who knew you. I made a modest donation in memory of Angela Marlene Fitterer <3 -Amanda May

I remember the first time we did fire works with Nikki at her house. Angie was like a kid in a candy store. She was so munch fun that day! She taught me how to shoot Roman Candles in the air with my bare hand. She wore an adorable sun flower dress that day too! Perfect for that hot July summer! She always was a blast to hang out with! She made me laugh all the time. I will miss you Angie!! With Love, -Sheila

Angie was about 9 when we moved in next to her family. Whenever I was over after school, she always came in fully of energy, smiles and some silly anecdote. I watched Angie grow up to be a beautiful funny young lady. Angie did a lot of babysitting for my son, including one year when she had a standing Monday night so that we could get out and watch the NFL game with friends, which was a great break for us. I really enjoyed the talks we'd have when I got home. I got to learn so much about the "upcoming" generation, and hopefully I helped her better understand the world, or at least her wonderful mom. God bless the Fitterer family... you all are wonderful folks. -Karen Schultz
